Scope of the Symposium

The 1st meeting was held at Shanghai in 1985, and 2nd at Tokyo in 1987, 3rd at Beijing in 1990, 4th at Osaka in 1992, and 5th at Xi'an in 1996. For each meeting, several tens members from the host country and about 20 from the guest country participated, and about 40 papers were presented every time.

Forging Research Committee of JSTP (Japan Soc. for Technology of Plasticity) and Cold Forging Committee, Forging & Stamping Institute of CMES have responsibility for the organization. The purpose of Symposium is the mutual understanding and the exchanging of information on recent developments on precision forging technologies in both countries.
